My name is Jason Tatro, and I am a bowl of trail mix with a family
and five kids that have been nothing but supportive of my
career. I was raised in a small farming town in Central California,
for the for the first 18 years of my life. While going to school I
worked on our family ranch where we farm oranges and pistachios.
Along side of farming there was a family hobby of open wheel asphalt
racing, playing soccer, and swimming competitively.
I graduated from high school in 1999 and joined the United Stated Army, as an Infantryman. While in the Army I have been stationed all across the US and in Germany. I have deployed to two different combat zones, once to Iraq and once to Afghanistan. Now my Army career brings me to Prescott, AZ, where I am a military science instructor for the Embry Riddle Army ROTC program. So the last 14 years of my military career has been quite the adventure.
Along side of serving my country, I have also been afforded the opportunity to serve my community as well. While I was stationed at FT Drum NY, I served my community as a Volunteer fire fighter and as a Youth indoor league soccer coach.
Since moving out to Prescott, I am finally going to focus on improving myself through continuing my education, while educating the future officers of the US Army, here at Embry Riddle. I am excited to be back in school and I have never been one to back down from a challenge, therefor while starting my general education, I am also applying for the aviation program.
I look forward to working with the people of this class and am willing to assist in any way that I can. Thank you all for your time.
